According to Lao Dong's records on November 30, in the early morning, the lowest temperature in Ho Chi Minh City is 22-23 degrees Celsius, people moving outdoors can feel the cold weather.
"I was walking from home to work and felt a clear drop in temperature so I had to stop and put on a jacket. This weather makes me feel more comfortable" - Mr. Duong Anh Tung (living in Thu Duc City) shared.
Ms. Dang Thuy Trang (living in District 8) said: "The weather has started to get cold in the past 2-3 days, especially in the morning and evening. Every year at this time, Ho Chi Minh City is often cold, making me clearly feel the atmosphere of Christmas and Tet approaching."
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the cause is due to the continental cold high pressure gradually weakening in the North, but still diffusing to the South, dominating the South is the strong Northeast wind zone.
"During Christmas and New Year's Day, the temperature at night and early morning in Ho Chi Minh City drops to about 22 - 23 degrees Celsius, with fog appearing," said Mr. Le Dinh Quyet, Head of the Forecast Department of the Southern Hydrometeorological Station.
In the coming days, Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces and cities are likely to have unseasonal rain. Especially on December 2-3, Ho Chi Minh City is likely to have unseasonal rain over a large area in many districts.
