On October 20, the People's Committee of Ea Dah commune (Krong Nang district, Dak Lak province) informed that a work accident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a woman.
Previously, a woman (43 years old) living in Thanh Xuan village, Ea Dah commune mixed concrete to build a pigsty for her family. At that time, the husband was building a pigsty behind the house. The wife mixed concrete to bring to her husband for construction.
During the concrete mixing process, the mixer accidentally leaked electricity, causing the woman to be electrocuted and fall to the ground. However, because the concrete mixer was operating with a loud noise, no one in the family was aware of the incident.
Some time later, her family discovered the incident and took her to the emergency room, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead.
The victim's family is a poor household. Immediately after the incident, local authorities visited, encouraged, and provided financial support to help the family bury and arrange the victim's funeral.
