Contributing to consolidating the bloc of solidarity
Before implementing village and hamlet arrangement, Dak Lak province had 604 hamlets of ethnic minorities, distributed in 68 communes and wards. In these areas, village and hamlet heads and reputable people play an important role, being a bridge to bring the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws to the people.
Sticking to the grassroots, close to the people, understanding the people, this team contributes to maintaining security and order, consolidating the great unity bloc, and at the same time supporting people to develop the economy and reduce poverty.
For many years, Mr. Y Kham Ta Nie, Secretary of the Party Cell of hamlet A, Ea Sup Commune Party Committee, has always been assessed as a party member who excellently completes his tasks. With the role of Secretary of the Party Cell and a prestigious person in the locality, he determines that being close to the people and close to the grassroots level is an important task.
Buon A has 415 households with about 1,820 people. Through review, the area has 60 poor households with 270 people, accounting for 14.46% of the total number of households; 82 near-poor households with 375 people, accounting for 19.76%. Most people are ethnic minorities, and their lives are still difficult.
According to Mr. Y Kham Ta Nie, building and maintaining grassroots solidarity is a long-term task, requiring officials and party members to be persistent and exemplary.
To propagate so that people listen and follow, first of all, officials must be close to the people, understand the people and set an example for the people. When we do right, speak correctly and for the common good, the people will agree," Mr. Y Kham Ta Nie shared.
He regularly mobilizes people to comply with the law, actively work and produce, support each other to develop the economy, preserve good customs and build a cultural life. When conflicts arise, he and party members and reputable people promptly grasp, explain, and mobilize, not allowing small disagreements to become hotspots.
Similarly, Krong No commune is a difficult area of Dak Lak province, with 13 villages and hamlets all belonging to particularly difficult areas and many ethnic minorities living there.
Mr. Y Bun Tang Ting, a reputable person in Krong No commune, said that reputable people, village and hamlet heads must regularly stick to the grassroots level, understand the circumstances of each family to propagate and support people.
According to him, when people understand, trust and join forces, the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State will be concretized by practical actions. Through this, village and neighborhood affection is tightened, the great unity bloc is consolidated, contributing to building villages that are increasingly stable, civilized and developed.
Irreplaceable role
Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province - affirmed that prestigious people and village elders in ethnic minority villages play a particularly important role in gathering people, consolidating the great national unity bloc and bringing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws closer to the people.
According to Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, a reputable person, a village elder who understands customs and habits, has life experience and is trusted by the community. Therefore, their words and actions have a strong spreading effect, especially in mobilizing people to implement policies directly related to life.
In socio-economic development, building a cultural life, ensuring national defense and security at the grassroots level, the role of reputable people and village elders is also very important.
Through meetings and community activities, reputable people and village elders regularly propagate and mobilize people to comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; actively engage in labor production, poverty reduction, new rural construction and preservation of national cultural identity. In particular, when conflicts arise in the community, reputable people and village elders promptly grasp, mediate, and mobilize the parties to share and resolve them in the spirit of solidarity. Thereby, contributing to preventing complicated cases and maintaining security and order right from the grassroots level," Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong emphasized.
