On June 3, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province said it had directed the launch of a peak period of fighting to prevent and repel smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights. The peak period lasts until June 15, 2025.
Accordingly, Khanh Hoa province also requires dissemination and requires scientists and health workers not to advertise false information or exaggerate the uses of products that have not been legally verified; individuals who violate will be responsible before the law.
At the same time, functional forces such as the Provincial Police, Border Guard, Customs Branch, Tax Branch, etc. will strengthen inspection and control of the market, detect early and strictly handle the acts of trading in counterfeit drugs, drugs of unknown origin, and copyright infringement, if there is enough basis, will propose to prosecute according to the law.
Currently, the Department of Health is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police, the Department of Industry and Trade and related units to deploy attack measures and strictly handle violations in the fields of drugs, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, medical equipment, insect repellent chemicals - antibacterial drugs used in household appliances and medicine.
The implementation results will be reported to the Ministry of Health before June 20, 2025 and sent to the Provincial People's Committee.
Khanh Hoa province emphasizes the need to uphold public ethics, tighten administrative discipline, and prevent negativity and group interests in the process of handling administrative procedures related to health activities. Corruption, cover-up, and condoning acts will be strictly handled if discovered.
