On May 9, functional agencies of Kong Chro commune are clarifying the cause of the stilt house fire in the area.
At about 4:30 pm on May 8, a fire burned down the stilt house and many assets of Mr. Dinh Mut's family (Rong Tnia village, Kong Chro commune, Gia Lai province).
At the time of the fire, Mr. Mut and his wife were working in the fields, only his son was at home.
When the fire was discovered, the son shouted for villagers to come to help put out the fire but failed. The fire broke out fiercely, burning down the entire stilt house of about 140 m2 along with many valuable assets and essential household items of the family.
Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties. However, total property damage is estimated at more than 100 million VND. The initial cause was determined to be an electrical short circuit.
Immediately after the incident occurred, leaders of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Kong Chro commune visited and encouraged Mr. Mut's family to overcome difficulties, and at the same time mobilized villagers to support the family to build a temporary house to live in, helping to soon stabilize life.
