On the morning of May 9, the Fire and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police organized a fire fighting and rescue drill at CT9 Apartment Building, Tay Nha Trang ward with a simulated situation of a large fire occurring in the parking area on the 2nd floor.
According to the simulated situation, at about 8 am, the fuel pipe of a motorbike broke down, causing gasoline to flow into the parking area, forming a burning vapor. When the vehicle was started, sparks arose and caused a fire.

The fire generated a large amount of smoke and toxic gas covering the escape route.
At the time of the fire, there were about 20 people in the 2nd floor area and more than 200 people living on the upper floors.
Functional forces determined that there are about 100 people trapped who need to be guided to escape, and many injured people are still trapped inside the building.
According to the handling plan, local forces quickly mobilized manpower and vehicles to deploy firefighting and initial rescue; and at the same time moved flammable items out of the dangerous area to limit fire spread.
After approaching the scene, the Fire and Rescue Police force received command, deployed firefighting and search and rescue operations.
Coordinating units used specialized vehicles to search for victims and control the fire.
The internship was divided into two phases. The first phase runs from the time the fire was discovered to when the first Fire and Rescue Police force arrived at the scene.
During this time, grassroots forces deployed initial firefighting and guided people to escape.
Tay Nha Trang Ward People's Committee sent officials to coordinate in ensuring security and order in the scene area. Ward police organized traffic diversion, creating conditions for firefighters to access the scene as quickly as possible.
In phase two, the Fire and Rescue Police force receives command, coordinates with local forces to organize firefighting and rescue according to simulated situations.
The internship aims to raise awareness and skills in handling fire and explosion situations for grassroots forces and people.
At the same time, strengthen combat coordination capabilities when major fires occur at apartment buildings and accommodation establishments.
