On the morning of August 12, Mr. Nguyen Chanh Thuc - Director of Nha Trang Ward Public Service and Career Center confirmed that the locality has requested restaurants and food businesses along the coastline to temporarily suspend the operation of placing umbrellas, chairs and organizing services outside the beach after 6 pm daily.
Nha Trang coastline currently gathers many large-scale restaurants and businesses such as Bon Mua, Sailing Club, Louisiane...
These are familiar destinations, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists when coming to the locality for tourism.
Over the past time, in addition to indoor service spaces, these facilities often organize more entertainment and dining activities outside the sandy beach.
However, according to the new requirement, all offshore activities including placing umbrellas, placing chairs, performing arts... must be temporarily suspended after 6 pm.
Confirming with Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of a restaurant along Nha Trang beach said that the unit has seriously complied with regulations and temporarily suspended activities outside the beach as directed.
This person shared that because Nha Trang is in the peak tourist season, the temporary suspension of services significantly affects business operations.
However, businesses fully support the general policy of the locality, and at the same time propose that functional agencies soon have specific instructions or organize public bidding for units to participate in accordance with regulations.
Providing more information about this decision, Mr. Nguyen Chanh Thuc said that tightening business and entertainment activities along the coast aims to ensure security and order, maintain urban landscape and avoid disorder.
In the coming time, restaurants and business establishments wishing to continue to exploit services in the coastal area must wait for official policies and instructions from the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province.
On that basis, the specialized agency will develop a public bidding plan for beach entertainment activities in accordance with legal regulations.
