Late in the afternoon of December 21, a loud noise tore apart the peaceful atmosphere in residential area group 10, Nong Tien ward (Tuyen Quang city) when a car driving on the road suddenly crashed into a house and hit a little girl inside.
Two days after the accident that killed a 17-month-old girl, many witnesses were still shocked and saddened.
The house is located opposite the scene of the tragic accident. Every time the incident is mentioned, Ms. Ha Huyen (Nong Tien ward, Tuyen Quang city) cannot help but feel terrified and sad.
Ms. Huyen shared that the incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on December 21. At that time, she was cooking in the house when she suddenly heard a loud noise and people screaming and panicking.
"I ran outside, at Ms. P.T.X's house across the street, there were many people standing outside. When I got closer, I saw a white car in the main hall and the little girl lying motionless there, around the scene were scattered and destroyed furniture," Ms. Huyen recalled in horror.
Witnessing the incident, everyone in the small neighborhood came to help take the girl to the emergency room. However, due to severe injuries, the victim did not survive.
Holding back the tears that were about to fall, her voice choked, Ms. Huyen said: "Ms. X's family is loved by everyone, it took them a long time to have a child, and now... I will never forget the scene that day, the child was so young, thinking back makes me feel sorry."
Sharing the same sorrowful mood, Ms. Le Thi Hoa (Nong Tien ward, Tuyen Quang city) - a person present at the scene said that at the time of the accident, the car with license plate 22A - 186.xx was driving when it suddenly swerved to avoid a motorbike going in the opposite direction and then crashed into Ms. X's house.
"At that time, inside the house, Ms. X and the child were playing near the door. The car jumped over the girl and crashed into the furniture in the house before stopping. When the child was found, she was motionless, her whole body was purple, blood was coming from her nose and ears... Just a moment ago, she was playing happily, but now she is no longer there," Ms. Hoa choked up.
On December 23, information from Tuyen Quang City Police said that this unit has identified the driver in the car crash into a house, killing a 17-month-old girl.
Accordingly, the driver of vehicle with license plate 22A - 186.xx is Mr. Nguyen Khuong D (30 years old, residing in Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province), currently working in the security sector in the province.
Authorities have taken blood samples to test the male driver's alcohol level, but the results are not yet available.
