Specifically, previously, on the morning of May 8, in the process of coordinating with Ho Vuong Commune Police to perform patrol, control, and handle traffic safety violations in the area, the patrol and control team of Traffic Police Team No. 1 received 5 guns, 2 bullets and more than 3 kg of firecrackers voluntarily handed over by people.
According to the report of Mr. Mai Van Hai, born in 1987, residing in Noi 1 village, Ho Vuong commune, at about 9:45 am on the same day, while moving from work to home, to the inter-communal road section in Ho Vuong commune, he discovered a cloth bag in the form of a tourist bag placed on the roadside.
Out of curiosity, Mr. Hai opened the bag to check and discovered inside 5 guns, 2 military rounds and about 3 kg of firecrackers.
Recognizing the dangerous nature as well as the illegal acts related to the possession and use of weapons, explosives and firecrackers, Mr. Hai brought all the exhibits to the police agency to hand over.
Through the incident, the police force recommends that when detecting weapons, explosives, supporting tools or firecrackers of unknown origin, people should quickly report and hand them over to functional agencies; absolutely do not arbitrarily store, use or transport them to avoid unfortunate consequences and violations of the law.
