To reduce serious traffic accidents, Lao Cai Provincial Police have implemented many synchronous solutions.

According to report No. 3990 of Lao Cai Provincial Police, in the first 9 months of 2024, there were 142 road traffic accidents in the province, killing 51 people and injuring 120 people (a decrease of 448 cases, 7 deaths, and 582 injuries).

To reduce traffic accidents, Lao Cai Provincial Police have implemented many drastic and synchronous solutions.

One of the measures that can be mentioned is that the traffic police force and local police organize propaganda, warn about places with fog, slippery roads, landslides, and provide instructions on safe traffic skills through the loudspeaker system of communes, wards, towns, and residential groups.

In particular, focus on propaganda for 4 groups of subjects regularly participating in traffic such as transport enterprises, drivers; students, youth, teenagers; officials, workers, laborers; and local people.

In addition, the organization signed a commitment to comply with traffic safety regulations for businesses, drivers, parents and students.

Combine propaganda and education for young people who often gather to race, carry weapons such as knives, swords...

In addition, the authorities also reviewed and recommended fixing more than 5,000 black spots and traffic safety shortcomings.

In particular, the traffic police force has gone down to inter-village and inter-commune roads and intersections in residential areas to patrol, control, prevent and strictly handle violations early.

Lao Cai Provincial Police leaders said that in the last months of the year, the number of vehicles participating in traffic in the area often increases due to the business and production needs of individuals and groups.

Therefore, the work of ensuring traffic order and safety in the area has been and is being vigorously implemented to raise awareness of traffic law compliance for all classes of people.
