On February 18, the Task Force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 (Traffic Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police) coordinated with Hop Minh Commune Police to set up an alcohol concentration violation checkpoint on National Highway 7, passing through Hop Minh commune.
In about 2 hours, functional forces conducted alcohol concentration tests on many car and motorbike drivers, but only one violation case was detected.
The violator was identified as Mr. B.V. M (54 years old, residing in Hop Minh commune, Nghe An province). The alcohol concentration checkpoint of the Task Force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 is right next to Mr. M's house.

Mr. M said that on the 2nd day of Tet, he went to wish Tet to his paternal and maternal families, about 3km from home.
In the afternoon of the same day, while driving a motorbike on National Highway 7 to go home, Mr. M was signaled by functional forces to stop the vehicle and check for alcohol concentration.
On Tet, brothers wish each other a cup of wine, if we don't drink, it's not good either. I accept paying the fine but want to take the car home" - Mr. M said.

During the process of working with the Traffic Police, Mr. B.V. M said that because there are 7 people in the house but only one motorbike, he requested the functional forces not to temporarily seize his vehicle.
However, after the officers of the Traffic Police Task Force propagated the regulations, Mr. B.V. M agreed to sign the administrative violation record.
Mr. B.V. M is aware of the violation, learns from experience and commits not to repeat it after this incident.
With the above actions, Mr. B.V. M will be fined from 8,000 VND to 10,000 VND, and also have his driving license revoked for 22 to 24 months.
In addition to checking alcohol concentration, from 12:00 to 14:00 on February 18, the task force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 also made records and handled administrative violations against 4 car drivers for the act of driving at excessive speed on National Highway 7 section passing through Hop Minh commune.
