My Huong commune (Can Tho city) was formed after merging 3 communes of Phu My, Thuan Hung and My Huong (My Tu district, old Soc Trang province). This is a locality with a large Khmer population, accounting for more than 56% of the population.
In the early stages of operation, the number of people coming to the My Huong Commune Public Administration Service Center increased, because people were still confused by the new process and procedures in the electronic environment.
To meet this need, from July 15, the Center has extended the time for receiving and handling administrative procedures by 30 minutes each morning and afternoon. At the same time, arrange dedicated support staff, send cadres and union members who are ethnic minorities to guide and help people have easy access.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ngan, Deputy Director of the My Huong Commune Public Administration Service Center, Can Tho City, the additional working hours will be applied from July 15 to August 15, 2025 or until further notice. This solution aims to limit congestion at the beginning and end of working hours, creating conditions for people, especially those working far away, to have more time to carry out procedures such as completing background checks and confirming job applications. The center also strengthens instructions on the use of online public services, contributing to improving service quality and people's satisfaction.

In addition, the People's Committee of My Huong commune also implemented the model "mobile public administration associated with the school opening season in 2025", held on Saturdays in August at hamlet community centers, schools or appropriate locations. The model helps quickly solve procedures for the new school year such as issuing birth certificates, confirming household registration, authenticating student records, social protection procedures, school health, reducing travel time and facilitating parents and students in remote areas.
Not only My Huong, Phu Loi ward (Can Tho city) also increased working time at the Public Administration Service Center by 60 minutes per session, to facilitate people to carry out procedures outside of normal office hours.
Mr. Truong Xuan Anh Khoa, Deputy Director of the Phu Loi Ward Public Administration Service Center, said that during this additional period, the unit will arrange staff to fully and clearly guide the content of the dossier; behave civilly and politely; resolve procedures quickly, in accordance with regulations and without causing inconvenience to the people.

Similarly, in Long Phu commune (Can Tho city), from July 28 to August 29, 2025, the locality will apply an additional 60 minutes per working session to handle administrative procedures for people. The Center's civil servants also directly go to the support house to confirm authorization for the elderly, sick people, and people with difficulty traveling; at the same time, they take note of people's opinions to improve service quality. The locality also applies Zalo OA to schedule, look up documents, get remote serial numbers, help reduce waiting time, avoid crowding, and at the same time promote the digitization of documents, switch from paperwork to electronic, serving more quickly and transparently.
