HCMC - Many schools in Vung Tau have given students a day off, monitoring the development of storm No. 13 Kalmaegi to have appropriate teaching methods.

On the afternoon of November 6, a number of schools in Vung Tau ward (HCMC) announced that schools would let students leave school early to proactively avoid the impact of storm No. 13 Kalmaegi.

For example, Bui Thi Xuan Primary School has announced that students will be off from early afternoon, and at the same time announced that parents will soon pick up the children.

From 1:30 p.m., the school started returning students to parents, and has assigned teachers to attend classes to look after students that parents could not pick up early, so that parents can work with peace of mind, said Mr. Pham Duy Khanh Quan.

In addition to Vung Tau ward, high schools (level III) in the Vung Tau area that were previously (now Rach Dua, Tam Thang wards...) also announced that students would be off school, such as Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Tran Nguyen Han High School, Dinh Tien Hoang High School...

In case the weather is complicated, schools will notify students to continue their school days off; and have prepared online learning plans, temporarily postponing school schedules in the coming days. At the same time, organize inspections of reinforcement of facilities and works.

Previously, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City sent a document requesting schools to urgently deploy plans and measures to respond to the impact of storm No. 13 Kalmaegi; especially prepare plans to evacuate students and teachers to safe places; move records and equipment to dry places.... At the same time, regularly monitor weather developments closely, have plans to prepare online learning plans, and temporarily postpone school schedules during the rainy and stormy days if there are complicated developments.
