Can Tho - On the afternoon of June 20, heavy rain lasting for about 2 hours caused localized flooding on many roads in the center of Can Tho City.

According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, on the afternoon of June 20, a series of key routes such as: Cach Mang Thang 8, 3/2, 30/4, Nguyen Van Cu, Vo Van Kiet, Tran Viet Chau... sank in "sea of water". In many places, the water level was over 50cm deep, making it difficult for people to move.

In particular, at key intersections such as Tran Hoang Na - 30/4 - 3/2 and Nguyen Van Linh - 30/4 - 3/2, vehicles are almost "standing", congested for a long time, unable to move.

Not only the main roads, many areas that are in the process of upgrading and repairing are also heavily affected. Heavy rain has turned unfinished works into huge obstacles, causing many households to have no way to enter their homes and their lives to be disrupted.

Many houses were flooded, causing property damage. Business and trading activities have also been stalled due to flooded roads, making it impossible for customers to access.

According to the Can Tho City Hydrometeorological Station, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the rainfall was 13.5 mm; 15:50 - 17:20 was 90 mm.
