Throughout the four days of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, at many key projects in Lao Cai province, the sound of machinery and transport vehicles is still bustling day and night. At the construction sites, the construction atmosphere is urgent, speeding up progress, and bringing projects to completion soon.
At the A Mu Sung Primary and Secondary Boarding School project, the urgent construction span is clearly visible on a land area of nearly 7 hectares. More than 200 workers and engineers are simultaneously deploying items.
Administration buildings, classrooms, dormitories, and multi-purpose buildings have basically taken shape, creating the appearance of a modern school district in the highlands.

Engineer Nguyen Tien Thanh - official of the Lao Cai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board - said that the project is closely following the set schedule.
It is expected that the rough construction part will be completed by May 5 to move to the completion stage such as plastering walls, tiling, installing electricity and water systems. This is the project with the best progress among boarding schools being implemented in the area," Mr. Thanh informed.

Mr. Ly Seo Sinh - a worker shared: "The terrain is complex, the weather changes erratically, but the brothers still stick to the construction site. This is a project for highland students, so even though working during the holidays, everyone is happy and trying.
As for the Pha Long Primary and Secondary Boarding School project, despite the steep terrain and large leveling volume, the contractor still maintains three construction fronts. Construction units are stockpiling materials and preparing to deploy the foundation of the boarding house area.
Meanwhile, Y Ty Primary and Secondary Boarding School has rugged terrain, but the contractor still mobilized maximum manpower and machinery, ready to work overtime when conditions permit.
Not only in the field of education, key transport projects are also "accelerating" strongly. At the road bridge project across the Red River connecting Bat Xat (Vietnam) with Ba Sai (China), more than 100 engineers and workers are still maintaining the construction pace amidst the sun and wind of the border region.

Currently, the contractor is focusing on constructing two main items: continuous beams on pier T8 and box beams at pier T9. During the construction process, the two sides regularly exchanged technical information on coordinates, altitude, and drawings to ensure absolute accuracy. The goal set is to complete at the end of September and technically open to traffic in early October.
Engineer Phan Dang Tuan Dat - project supervisor said: "This is a project of important significance not only for transportation but also for foreign economic development. Therefore, we organize scientific construction, mobilize maximum manpower and equipment to both ensure progress and maintain the quality and aesthetics of the project.

Leaders of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that accelerating the progress of key projects is not only a short-term requirement but also has long-term strategic significance.
The projects being implemented all play a particularly important role in completing a synchronous and modern infrastructure system. When completed, this will be the foundation for expanding development space, strengthening regional linkages, international connections, thereby attracting investment and promoting trade and tourism.

Lao Cai province is prioritizing resources, focusing on directing the removal of difficulties and obstacles for each project, especially traffic, education and urban infrastructure projects.
At the same time, requesting investors and contractors to promote the spirit of responsibility, construct "overcoming sun and winning rain", ensuring progress goes hand in hand with quality.
