Suoi Cai begins to revive
The project to dredge and reinforce Suoi Cai (from Tho Ut bridge to Dong Nai river) has a total investment of nearly 5,900 billion VND.
This is a large project in Binh Duong province invested by the Project Management Board of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Duong province.
In previous years, the Suoi Cai area was filled with sand, overgrown with grass and swampy. Nearly 19km of the stream flows through the agricultural area of the people.
Heavy rain often causes crop flooding, affecting drainage for large industrial and urban areas at the source of Thu Dau Mot and Tan Uyen.
After nearly a year of construction, the first sections of the Suoi Cai dredging and reinforcement project have begun to take shape. This place is a bustling construction site. The large stream reinforced with reinforced concrete is gradually emerging.
The construction unit is reinforcing the rock carpet at the bottom of the stream. At the same time, reinforcing the stream bank with precast reinforced concrete panels.
Both sides of the stream will be filled with soil with a width of 17 m (including road surface and sidewalk).
Take advantage of the sunny season to speed up construction progress
According to the report of the Project Management Board of the Agriculture and Rural Development sector of Binh Duong province, the Suoi Cai project, nearly 19km long, is divided into 10 construction packages.
The units are organizing the construction of 2 packages from Tho Ut bridge to Ben San bridge, nearly 6km long (packages 2A and 2B), this section accounts for 31% of the project length.
To date, these two packages have reached over 40% of their volume. Taking advantage of the dry season, contractors are concentrating on labor and construction machinery.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bao Yen (48 years old, from Thua Thien Hue) is one of dozens of workers busy working on the construction site. She shared: "I work as an iron worker and formwork assembler. I work 8 hours a day, eat and drink, and earn 300,000 VND/day. On large projects with steady work, I can work 26-30 working days a month."
Mr. Le Van Hai - Construction Manager of Hoang Son Company said that the contractor is currently mobilizing 10 excavators, 6 trucks, 2 bulldozers and road rollers to execute package 2A. For package 2B, the contractor is mobilizing 5 excavators, 4 trucks and 4 water pumps.
"In 2024, the rainy season will last long, and contractors will face many difficulties. Now that the dry season has arrived, we are focusing on machinery and human resources to speed up construction progress to make up for the time lost during the recent rainy season."
According to Mr. Le Van Hai, the contractor will encourage workers and minimize Tet holidays. They will take advantage of sunny weather to complete construction and ensure the progress committed to the investor.
