According to Lao Dong reporters, two social housing projects at land plot N01 - Ha Dinh New Urban Area (Thanh Tri district) and NHS Trung Van social housing project (Nam Tu Liem district) have recently attracted the attention of many people.
Happily waiting for the handover date of NHS Trung Van social housing, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (name requested to be changed) said that the project is expected to be handed over in the first quarter of 2025, so many households here are preparing to deploy and hire workers to install furniture.
"The project is about to be handed over so the atmosphere here is very bustling. My family is hiring workers to install furniture, build tables and kitchen cabinets at the NHS Trung Van social housing with a cost of about 100-150 million VND" - Mr. Tuan said.
According to Mr. Tuan, the NHS Trung Van social housing project (Nam Tu Liem district) is built on a total area of 2,726.1 square meters, and is about to complete and hand over apartments in the first quarter of 2025, creating great opportunities for people in terms of housing needs.
Over the years, apartment prices and real estate segments have continuously increased, far exceeding the income of the majority of people.
Besides the NHS Trung Van social housing project, the social housing project at lot N01 - Ha Dinh new urban area (Thanh Tri district) is under construction and has also attracted the attention of the people.
According to Lao Dong reporter's investigation, the social housing project in Ha Dinh new urban area, started by the joint venture of Urban Infrastructure Development Investment Corporation, Hanoi Electricity and Water Construction Joint Stock Company, and DAC Hanoi Housing Development and Trading Joint Stock Company in early December 2024.
The project is built on a land area of 9,305m2, the height of the building is 25 floors (5 basement floors, 20 apartment floors and 1 basement floor), the construction area is 3,722m2, the total floor area is 62,550m2, a total of 440 apartments, a population of 1,230 people, expected to be completed after 30 months of implementation.
Notably, according to the updated list of Hanoi's housing development plan for the 2021-2025 period, the city will have 8 more social housing projects.
Statistics from the Hanoi Department of Construction show that, to date, the city has 69 social housing projects that have been and are being implemented. Of these, 19 projects are expected to be completed in the 2021-2025 period, with about 0.952 million square meters of floor space, providing about 15,440 units.
Many real estate experts say that in order to supplement the social housing fund to serve low-income people, Hanoi must continue to review land funds and propose plans to build new social housing.
At the same time, review and adjust planning to supplement land funds in sync with trade union institutions, serving the housing needs of low-income people, workers and laborers.
