Overcoming difficulties to reach far
Permanent Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien emphasized: For many years, the province has always expected state-owned enterprises to play a "locomotive" role, leading growth in the new development stage. Not only creating products with Vietnamese brands, the enterprise is also assigned the task of deeply participating in the global value chain, affirming the national position in the international arena.
Established in 1990, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company was assigned the responsibility of managing, exploiting and exporting salanganes Nest - the most famous specialty in Vietnam. In the period of 2020 - 2025, this enterprise faces a series of challenges: Climate change, illegal hunting, global economic crisis, widespread counterfeit goods and Covid-19 epidemic.
With the motto "Overcoming any difficulties", Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest collective has turned challenges into opportunities, maintaining stable growth. Total revenue for 5 years reached nearly 13,000 billion VND. In the first 7 months of 2025 alone, consolidated revenue reached VND 2,240 billion, up 10% over the same period. Revenue according to the plan assigned by the province reached 1,770 billion VND, an increase of 31%.
Not only focusing on production, the company is also a pioneer in digital transformation, expanding e-commerce and export. As of July 2025, the export value to Asian and European markets reached more than 2 million USD. In particular, from the end of 2023, the enterprise will be one of the first units in Vietnam to qualify for official export to China, cooperating with large corporations such as Dong Nhan Duong and Nhat Tam Duong.
In parallel with market development, Khanh Hoa bird's nest implements a green production model, saving energy, using biological packaging, and no preservatives. Currently, the product is present in 34 provinces and cities, more than 1,000 domestic distributors and exported to 30 countries and territories.
In addition to budget contributions, the enterprise spent more than 35.9 billion VND on social security work, built nearly 100 gratitude houses, and cared for more than 4,000 workers. Party Secretary, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company - Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van said: " Entering the period of 2025 - 2030, the company will continue to innovate, promote digital transformation, greening production and building corporate culture, affirming its position as a national brand".

Khatoco - the pillar of local budget
If Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest affirms its national brand size, Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) will play the role of the largest state-owned enterprise in the province, the "locomotive" in budget contributions.
For nearly 42 years of development, Khatoco has always preserved and increased State capital, effectively produced and operated, and created jobs for thousands of local workers.
Despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and global economic fluctuations, the company still maintained impressive growth. Consolidated revenue reached VND 8,055 billion in 2022, increasing to VND 8,902 billion in 2023 and VND 9,372 billion in 2024 - both exceeding the plan.
State budget contributions in Khanh Hoa have continuously increased: VND 2,954 billion (2022), VND 3,228 billion (2023), VND 3,394 billion (2024). In the country, Khatoco ranked 34/200 enterprises with the largest budget contribution in 2024, with a total of VND 4,080.9 billion. Export turnover also increased from 56.3 million USD in 2023 to 60.3 million USD in 2024.
In addition to developing production, Khatoco also invests heavily in industrial infrastructure. A typical example is the Khatoco Khanh Hoa Cigarette Factory project in Trang E Industrial Cluster, with a capital of VND581 billion, 3 times the scale of the old factory, meeting international standards. The enterprise also put into operation the most modern tobacco fiber processing line in Southeast Asia, with a capacity of 21,600 tons/year, capital of 463 billion VND.
Mr. Le Quoc Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khatoco affirmed: "In the context of integration, equitization and fierce competition, preserving and developing State capital is not only a legal obligation, but also a strategy for state-owned enterprises to play a leading role in the local socio-economy".
With perseverance and innovation, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest and Khatoco have been continuously honored with the Labor Medal, National Brand, International Quality Award, 2025 Green Growth Enterprise in Asia... These achievements not only contribute to the budget, create jobs, but also elevate the Vietnamese brand in the international market.
It can be affirmed that the growth of these "economic locomotives" has contributed to helping Khanh Hoa firmly step into the new development stage, confidently reaching the next decade.
"Not only creating products with Vietnamese brands, the enterprise is also assigned the task of deeply participating in the global value chain, affirming the national position in the international arena".
