2 branches of the 2,120 billion VND inter-regional road project
The inter-regional traffic road project connecting Ho Chi Minh Road with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C of Phu Tho province to Yen Bai (now Lao Cai province) - with a total investment after adjustment of 2,120 billion VND, has more than 53km of main route length handed over and put into use.
Currently, the project is continuing to deploy the construction of an inter-regional road extending from the starting point of the main route (at Km0) to National Highway 32 (at Km76+150), belonging to Package No. 60, with a winning bid price of more than 97 billion VND, implemented from May 2025.

This section has a total length of 3.726km, the starting point of the route is at Km0 of the inter-regional road section intersecting with National Highway 32 (to Thanh Son), the ending point of the route is National Highway 32 section of Tam Nong Regional Health Center, only about 400m from Phong Chau bridge. The road section is designed according to level III plain road standards, design speed of 80 km/h.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper in the early days of 2026, the contractor has deployed the work of excavating and filling the roadbed, spreading crushed stone, constructing drainage systems, and building the Ho Chi Minh road overpass...

Along with that, the inter-regional road project is also implementing the construction of the branch connecting Cam Khe industrial park, under Package No. 32, with a winning bid price of more than 96 billion VND, implemented from the end of October 2024.
This branch line has a total length of about 3.083km (belonging to Cam Khe commune) designed according to level III plain road standards, design speed of 80km/h, the starting point of the line intersects with the main line at Km23+920, the ending point connects with the main road of Cam Khe industrial park.
Up to now, the inter-regional road branch has basically taken shape, built straight through the fields of the old Phong Thinh commune. Especially for the section near the Cam Khe industrial park, the road is constructed through high hills, still visible from afar.

According to the project dossier, the bidding package for the extended inter-regional road has a contract implementation time of 240 days, and the bidding package for the branch line has a implementation time of 450 days. Therefore, if deployed on schedule, these 2 sections of the route will be completed and put into use in 2026.
Road connecting 2 key highways
In the former Phu Tho province, the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway connection project with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway is also being urgently constructed in Phu Tho ward. This project has a total investment of 692 billion VND, implemented from mid-February 2025.

The route has a total length of 2.736km (the starting point connects to the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway; the ending point connects to the existing Ho Chi Minh road). The route is designed according to level 100 expressway standards, design speed of 100km/h, according to expressway standards.
After nearly 1 year of construction, the contractor is currently deploying construction points such as: excavating and filling the roadbed; constructing civil underpasses, walls, box culverts, round culverts; especially the overpass item at the provincial road junction 315B (connecting to the end point of the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway) is gradually taking shape.

In 2026, the project of connecting Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway with Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway when put into use will help reduce the load on the Ho Chi Minh road, reduce traffic accidents, improve the operating capacity and investment efficiency of the 2 expressways, contributing to promoting socio-economic development.
250 billion VND road connecting Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway
The project to build the connecting road from Km30 of the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway to the center of Thanh Ba district (old) has a total investment of 250 billion VND, constructed through communes in communes: Thanh Ba, Quang Yen and Chan Mong.

According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper in the early days of 2026, after 3 years of construction, the project has almost completed. The newly built road is more than 7.6km long, passing through many fields, gardens, and hills planted with acacia in the old Thanh Ba district, forming high taluys connected to each other.
It can be seen that most of the route sections have been asphalted, the intersection between the new road and provincial road 312 is under construction to dig and fill the roadbed, and the provincial road section 312 near the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway that has been renovated is also being completed.

According to the design, the road is built according to level III plain road standards, design speed of 80km/h; roadbed 12m wide, road surface 7m wide... The starting point of the route connects to inter-commune traffic road in zone 3, old Thanh Ba town (now Thanh Ba commune); the ending point connects to National Highway 2 at Km95+250.
In 2026, when put into use, the road will create a traffic axis connecting the center of the old Thanh Ba district with the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, contributing to the development of industrial zones/clusters in the area, meeting the needs of goods trade and people's travel, creating favorable conditions to promote socio-economic development.
