Ninh Binh - On August 23, the Provincial People's Committee issued a telegram on focusing on responding to storm No. 5 (storm Kajiki).

To proactively respond to storm No. 5, the Chairman of Ninh Binh People's Committee requested localities to proactively arrange forces, materials, and means in key areas directly affected by storms and floods to be ready to respond, rescue, and save when situations arise according to the motto "4 on-site"; proactively reserve food, foodstuffs, and necessities in residential areas prone to flooding and landslides.

Coastal communes coordinate with the Border Guard Command to strictly prohibit ships and boats from going to sea from 7:00 a.m. on August 24.; notify owners of ships and boats operating offshore to find safe shelters, and organize the arrangement of ships to enter the anchorage before 5:00 p.m. on August 24.

Proactively evacuate people from dangerous areas, especially river mouths, coastal areas, mountainous areas at risk of landslides, weak houses, old apartments in urban areas, ensure absolute safety for life, limit damage to State and people's property when natural disasters occur.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment proactively directs the work of ensuring the safety of dykes, irrigation dams, and protecting agricultural production; organizes 24/7 on-duty to closely monitor the situation, proactively direct and urge localities to deploy response work in accordance with the actual situation, promptly report and propose to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to direct contents beyond their authority.
