Da Nang - Floodwaters overflowed the Ho Chi Minh road through Avong commune, causing serious traffic disruption and landslides in many villages.

On the morning of October 29, on Ho Chi Minh road through Avuong commune, floodwaters crossed the road in Cr'toonh village, temporarily cutting off traffic.

Landslides on the positive slope in Xa O village, R'cung village and Km8 in Dang village, caused complete isolation. Many landslides appeared in rural traffic, causing isolation.

Faced with the urgent situation, threatening many households, the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Civil Defense of Avuong commune has directed forces to go to the grassroots to mobilize and help people move their assets, livestock, the elderly and children to safety.

The authorities have urgently evacuated 19 households/64 people from 3 villages of Cr'toonh, Azat, R'cung to take safe shelter at the community house.

Currently, the locality continues to review and direct villages to be ready to prepare evacuation plans and relocate residents out of high-risk areas. Organize 24/7 on-duty and closely monitor forecasts and warnings to inform people in a timely manner.

The locality has placed warning signs for landslides and stretched ropes, and at the same time requested people to limit going out when not really necessary, not going to rivers and streams to catch fish, collect firewood, proactively prevent and protect the safety of their lives and property and that of their families.
