This situation caused flooding of many bridges and underpasses in Lao Bao, Huong Phung, Lia, A Doi communes... directly affecting people's travel.
Records in Lia commune on the morning of August 9 show that the muddy water rushed in, causing some overflowing bridges in the section passing through A Xing village to be deeply flooded. Typically at Co Nong bridge, the water rose high and flowed swiftly across the bridge surface, causing this area to fall into a state of isolation, people and vehicles could not travel.
In addition, the road leading to A Doi commune in the Vietnam - Laos border area also has a series of flooding points, causing traffic disruption. Similarly, in Lao Bao, Huong Phung and Tan Lap communes, many overflow bridges and underpasses are also flooded, flowing swiftly across the bridge deck.
To ensure safety, functional forces in localities have urgently barricaded and set up checkpoints at flooded points, preventing people and vehicles from passing through flood-prone areas.
