On July 22, the impact of the circulation of storm No. 3 (storm Wipha) caused prolonged heavy rain in Thanh Hoa. Recorded in Hac Thanh ward - the administrative center, many streets such as Nguyen Nhu Soan, Nguyen Trai, Xuan Minh, Lai Thanh... were flooded 40-70cm deep.
The authorities and local people have proactively moved the elderly, children, and raised their assets. The road in front of the Provincial Court and Thanh Hoa General Hospital was also deeply flooded, obstructing traffic.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the past 6 hours, the rainfall measured in the inner city of Hac Thanh was generally over 200mm, with some points exceeding 300mm. Heavy rain is forecast to continue tonight and tomorrow morning.
