On the morning of November 21, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hydrometeorological Station issued the latest announcement on weather conditions, forecasting heavy rain to continue in many areas in the province, with a high risk of flash floods, landslides and widespread flooding.

Heavy rain in northern Khanh Hoa, many places have especially heavy rain

According to the forecast, on November 21, the northern area of Khanh Hoa province will have moderate to heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain. Rainfall is generally from 60-130mm, while in the South it is generally 20-50mm. Some points recorded outstanding rainfall such as Dai Lanh 321mm, Ho Hoa Son 367mm.

On rivers in the province, flood water levels have peaked and are gradually decreasing below alert level 1-2. However, Dinh River (Ninh Hoa) is still above alert level 3.

At Duc My station, the flood peak reached 18.01m (9:10 on November 20), 0.51m higher than alert level 1.

At Ninh Hoa station, the water level reached 6.77m (14am on November 20), 1.07m higher than alert level 3 and 0.19m higher than the historic flood peak in 1986 by 0.19m.

On Cai Nha Trang River, Dong Trang station recorded 13.14m (5am on November 20), 2.14m higher than alert level 3, but still about 0.28m lower than the historical flood peak in 2009.

On Cai Phan Rang River, Tan My station reached 40.25m, exceeding alert level 3 by 2.75m; Phan Rang station reached 4.85m, 0.35m higher than alert level 3.

Khanh Hoa currently has 64 reservoirs (53 irrigation reservoirs and 11 hydroelectric reservoirs). As of 5:00 a.m. on November 21, the total storage capacity reached 636.531 million m3 (84.6%).

Many lakes are continuing to operate to regulate discharge to ensure the safety of the project and downstream areas.

Meanwhile, areas such as Suoi Dau, Suoi Hiep, Dien Khanh, Dien Dien, Dien Lac, Nha Trang, Tay Nha Trang, Bac Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang, Bac Cam Ranh, Cam Ranh, Nam Cam Ranh, Ba Ngoi, Trung Khanh Vinh, Bac Ai Tay, Bac Ai, Ninh Son, My Son, Phuoc Hau, Ninh Phuoc, Do Vinh, Bao An, Phan Rang, Phuoc Dinh, Dong Hai... all recorded a gradual decrease in flooding depth, but still affected during the day.

In particular, the Ninh Hoa area, including Ninh Hoa, Nam Ninh Hoa, Bac Ninh Hoa, Dong Ninh Hoa, Tan Dinh, Hoa Tri, Hoa Thang, still maintains flooding with a large area.
