Implementing the Hanoi City Police Plan on strictly handling violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, focusing on groups of alcohol concentration violations, the Hanoi Traffic Police Department is synchronously implementing measures, strengthening control and handling at key routes and areas, especially areas with many restaurants and bars to create deterrence and prevent violations.
Accordingly, the traffic police force is deployed to work during the hours, focusing on the time when violations are likely to arise.
The Working Groups are assigned to patrol and control key routes, areas with many restaurants, eateries, karaoke bars... to promptly detect and handle violations.
The inspection is strictly implemented, without prohibited areas, to minimize traffic accidents caused by drivers violating alcohol concentration.

On the evening of March 25, at the Le Duc Tho - Nguyen Hoang intersection (Nam Tu Liem District), the Working Group of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 deployed inspections and handled cases of alcohol concentration violations. This is a road with many restaurants and karaoke bars, with a high risk of violations, so the unit has proactively deployed forces to strictly control.
By 0:00 on March 26, the Working Group had inspected and handled 15 cases of motorbike and motorbike drivers violating alcohol concentration. In which, there were cases of violations of 1.166 mg/L of breath, 3 times the "framework" level.
This case was fined for the following violations: Violating alcohol concentration, not having a driver's license, not having a vehicle registration. For these violations, the driver was fined 14.5 million VND and had the vehicle impounded for 7 days.


"The working group will consist of 7 - 10 officers and soldiers to pick up the area, resolutely handle violations, prevent drugs right from the moment the vehicle leaves the restaurant or karaoke bar", Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 - emphasized.
In the coming time, the force will strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations, contributing to raising awareness of traffic law compliance and curbing traffic accidents in the city.
From March 1, 2025 to March 25, 2025, through patrolling and controlling, the Hanoi Traffic Police force detected and handled 3,283 cases of alcohol concentration violations, temporarily detained 3,283 vehicles, revoked 128 cases, and deducted driving license points for 939 cases.
