On August 16, the An Lac Ward Party Committee (HCMC) held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - attended and gave a speech.
At the congress, the An Lac Ward Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 33 people, was introduced. Mr. Le Truong Hai Hieu holds the position of Party Secretary and Chairman of the An Lac Ward People's Council.

An Lac Ward Party Secretary Le Truong Hai Hieu said that in the new term, the ward will focus on promoting digital transformation, building digital government, smart cities; applying information technology in management and operation to improve service quality, reduce time and costs for people and businesses.
"The satisfaction of people and businesses will be a measure of the quality of service of the government apparatus" - Mr. Hieu emphasized.
According to the congress resolution, in the period of 2025 - 2030, An Lac ward set 30 key targets, including outstanding works and projects such as: construction of landscape parks and regulating lakes in An Lac ward (overall of nearly 3.7 hectares), investment in the construction and use of 186 classrooms in 6 schools (1 kindergarten, 3 primary schools, 2 secondary schools).

Speaking at the congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thanh Nghi praised the positive results that the An Lac Ward Party Committee has achieved in the past term.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City is entering a turning point in development, with the goal of becoming a modern, smart, green, creative international super city - a center not only economic but also rich in culture, arts, sports and entertainment.
In the multipolar - multi-center development plan, the western area of the city is identified as a new growth pole for services, logistics, supporting industries and green urban areas.
With a strategic location at the western gateway, converging many vital traffic routes, An Lac ward plays a special role in connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta, becoming a core to promote regional socio-economic development.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi suggested that An Lac ward should take advantage of the gateway to develop services and transit goods, while innovating thinking and management methods in the spirit of "courage - action - service".
Along with exploiting the maximum potential and resources, An Lac ward must create favorable conditions for private economy and business households to develop; effectively mobilize all resources to invest in technical and social infrastructure, urban beautification, upgrading traffic, parks, green areas, flood control lakes and a synchronous lighting system.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nghi also requested An Lac ward to focus on comprehensive digital transformation, effectively operating the two-level government model, taking digital transformation results as an important criterion in collective and individual assessment.
At the same time, build a team of capable, responsible cadres, knowledgeable about digital technology, close to reality, meeting development requirements in the new period.
