Colorful fireworks are set off every Tet holiday, bringing joy and wishes for a new year of luck and peace for many users.
In the market, besides genuine products of Z121 factory (General Department of National Defense Industry), some subjects take advantage of the factory's reputation to make fake goods, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods, affecting product quality and consumer confidence.
Colonel Tran Thanh Son - Deputy Director of Factory Z121 - said that the unit's fireworks products have been developed for about 4-5 years. Up to now, Z121 fireworks have formed a separate, relatively clear identification system, helping to distinguish them from fake and counterfeit products on the market.
First of all, in terms of external appearance, the fireworks displays manufactured by Z121 have a square structure, flat, smooth surface. The labels are completely pasted by the machine, so they are neat, tidy, and not skewed or wrinkled. The product fully displays information, technical specifications and recommendations according to regulations.
One of the most important signs to recognize genuine fireworks is the transformed QR code system. For each product, consumers can use their phones to scan the QR code, thereby checking the product name, production date and production location.
Notably, each QR code is only valid for 5 scans, from the 6th scan onwards, the code will no longer be effective. This is considered an effective measure to limit counterfeiting and imitation.

Also according to Colonel Tran Thanh Son, each Z121 firework product is also affixed with anti-counterfeiting stamps issued by the Ministry of Public Security. This stamp also integrates a QR code, allowing consumers to accurately check product types and production areas, such as the North, Central or South.
Another sign that is quite easy to recognize is the gun fuse. According to Colonel Tran Thanh Son, the gun fuse of Z121 is bright red and is very strictly controlled during production.
Meanwhile, counterfeiters often have to buy spark plugs floating on the market, this type of spark plug is often blue, inconsistent and does not meet standards. This is an important detail to distinguish between genuine and fake fireworks.
Regarding the purchase of fireworks through social networks, the Deputy Director of Factory Z121 said that along with the development of society, retail channels are increasingly diverse. However, this is also an environment that is easily exploited to trade in counterfeit goods, fake goods or products of unknown origin.
According to Colonel Tran Thanh Son, currently, Z121 factory has built a system of nearly 1,000 official distribution stores nationwide.
These stores can promote and introduce products online, but the sales method is very transparent: delivery directly to buyers and accompanied by full invoices and documents; or receiving information for customers to come directly to the store to receive products. The factory recommends that people buy fireworks at official, reliable addresses of Z121 to ensure quality and origin.
