Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee officially issued a notice on the holiday schedule for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and major holidays in 2026, based on the provisions of the 2019 Labor Code.
On the occasion of Hung Kings Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month), officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and employees in administrative agencies, public services, political organizations, socio-political organizations are entitled to 3 consecutive days off, from April 25 to the end of April 27. Because the holiday coincides with the weekend, employees are entitled to compensatory leave on April 27.
For Victory Day April 30 and International Labor Day May 1, the above subjects are entitled to 4 consecutive days off, from April 30 to the end of May 3, including 2 holidays and 2 weekends.
Specifically for schools, the Department of Education and Training will guide educational institutions to arrange appropriate teaching plans, ensuring compensatory learning for students.
Public medical examination and treatment facilities are required to be assigned to be on duty 24/24 hours, ensuring continuous emergency and treatment work, and serving the health care needs of the people well. For general hospitals, heads of units must proactively develop reasonable duty and rest plans.
For businesses, based on actual conditions, employers arrange appropriate holiday schedules, ensuring production and business activities according to regulations.
Hanging the national flag in accordance with regulations, ensuring security and order
On this occasion, the hanging of the national flag is carried out uniformly throughout the province.
On the occasion of Hung Kings' Death Anniversary, agencies, units and households hang flags from the afternoon of April 25 to the end of April 26. On the occasion of April 30 and May 1, the flag hanging time is from the afternoon of April 29 to the end of May 1.
Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards are assigned to organize notifications and inspect the hanging of flags in the area.
In addition, throughout the holiday period, agencies, units, and localities must arrange on-duty forces, strengthen measures to ensure political security, social order and safety and fire and explosion prevention, and prevent passive and unexpected situations.
