Quang Ngai - Functional forces found a kim tinh pen engraved with the name Nguyen Xuan Hai, on the pen body there is a picture of 2 pigeons.

On August 11, representatives of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command said that Sample Team No. 8 discovered many artifacts in the graves of a martyr exhumed from Laos in 1995, then collected at Ngoc Hoi Martyrs' Cemetery, Bo Y commune (Quang Ngai).

Notably, at the tomb belonging to lot C1, row No. 1, tomb No. 2, functional forces found a kim tinh pen engraved with the name Nguyen Xuan Hai, on the pen body there is a picture of 2 pigeons. Along with that, there are also two fingernails, a piece of umbrella and some other artifacts.

According to Colonel Trinh Cong Son - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, information related to the artifacts just discovered needs the support of witnesses, comrades and people who have known or fought alongside the martyrs in the Lao battlefield.

The excavation and sampling at Ngoc Hoi Martyrs' Cemetery are being implemented within the framework of the 500-day and night campaign to promote the search, repatriation and identification of martyrs' remains. The cemetery currently has more than 1,400 graves; of which, more than 1,000 graves have not been identified.

To date, functional forces have exhumed more than 400 graves at Ngoc Hoi Martyrs' Cemetery to search for information, artifacts and take biological samples to serve the work of identifying identities.

There are currently 127 martyrs' cemeteries in the province; of which, 113 cemeteries need to be sampled. The total number of martyrs' graves that have not been identified for information to be sampled is more than 13.6 thousand graves. Sampling work has been completed at 50 cemeteries and is being implemented at 8 cemeteries.

Functional forces have exhumed more than 5,000 graves, collected more than 3.7 thousand biological samples, contributing to opening up more hope in identifying the names of those who sacrificed, bringing them back to their names and families.
