On August 5, the Military Command of Dak Peek commune said that in the past time, officers and soldiers of the unit have exhumed a total of 9 sets of remains of martyrs in Dak Peek commune.
Accordingly, on August 4, in the area of hamlet 16/5 (old Dak Dung hamlet, coordinates 67. 94, cell number 2 and cell number 3), the search force discovered and exhumed 5 sets of martyrs' remains.
The remains were found in tarpaulins, raincoats and umbrellas. Accompanying the remains were many artifacts such as backpacks, cloth shoes, vases, belts, daggers, lighters and some other artifacts buried along with them.
Previously, on August 2, also in the above area, the search force discovered and exhumed 4 sets of martyrs' remains; all the remains were wrapped in tarpaulins.
Currently, the remains after exhumation have been taken to the waiting house of the Military Command of Dak Pek commune for preservation, completing procedures according to regulations, serving the work of verification, appraisal, funeral organization and burial.
