Bomb weighing about 500kg discovered during road construction in Lao Cai

    Lao Cai - A bomb weighing about 500kg was discovered underground while constructing a service road in Bao Ha commune.

    On July 8, Bao Ha Commune People's Committee informed that at about 9 am on the same day, during the construction of the Bao Ha - Hong Bun service road, the construction unit discovered a bomb weighing about 500kg lying underground in Hong Bun village area.

    Immediately after the discovery, the construction unit stopped all operations and reported to the local authorities.

    Upon receiving the news, leaders of Bao Ha commune directly arrived at the scene to direct the blockade of the area, put up warning signs, ensure safety for people, and at the same time report to superiors and coordinate with specialized forces to inspect and handle the bomb in accordance with regulations.

    Currently, the area where the bomb was discovered is still under strict control.

    Local authorities recommend that people not approach the scene and comply with the instructions of functional forces to ensure safety during the process of handling explosives.
