Lao Cai discovers a series of cases of counterfeit goods

    Lao Cai - In November, the Market Management force discovered and fined 16 cases of trading in counterfeit goods of major brands.

    On November 21, the Market Management Department of Lao Cai province informed that the commodity market in the area in November was relatively stable, without any speculation, hoarding or unreasonable price increases.

    The forces handled 75 cases, fined VND 723 million and forced the destruction of goods worth more than VND 574 million. Accumulated to 11 months, the force inspected 974 cases, collecting more than 6.89 billion VND to the state budget.

    The most prominent violation in November was trading in counterfeit goods with 16 cases, fined 144 million VND. The violating goods include shoes, clothes, and handbags counterfeiting the brands of NIKE, ADIDAS, GUCCI, herMES, CHANEL, DIOR.

    Regarding the business of goods of unknown origin, there were 19 cases, the fine was 152 million VND, mainly food. There were 7 cases of smuggling, fined 123 million VND, including 700 packs of cigarettes, used children's sweaters and violent toys.
