On May 19, Vietnam Railway Corporation held a dialogue conference and forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party" between the leaders of Vietnam Railway Corporation and workers driving trains, repairing locomotives; workers examining, repairing, and providing care for carriages. The conference attracted 188 workers and laborers to directly participate.
Speaking at the opening speech of Mr. Dang Sy Manh, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Railway Corporation, there were times when we seemed to have to close the railway door, especially in the epidemic period of Covid-19. Units have no money to pay salaries, difficulties and difficulties. But in those tough times that the railway industry has shown its role. The trains carrying people from the North to the South, carrying essential goods throughout the region, when only the railway is still operating, has been recognized by the people at home and abroad.
We are looking forward to a new term with many important milestones. The National Assembly has just approved many unprecedented major projects in the history of the railway industry such as the North-South high-speed railway project. This is a "super project" with a total investment of up to 67 billion USD; the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project is worth more than 8.3 billion USD.
There are many challenges in front. The railway industry must implement urgent and comprehensive restructuring activities to make Vietnam Railway Corporation a corporation. The Group will receive high -speed railway operation; The operation complex is responsible for maintenance and repair functions for both high -speed rail and urban railway. At the same time, it is necessary to train strong enough human resources, the project is expected to train 21,000 people to receive advanced railway technology transfer.
"We need to promote glorious traditions, strive to strengthen ourselves, cooperate effectively, streamline breakthroughs, and create a future in the coming time," Mr. Dang Sy Manh emphasized.

Responding to many recommendations
At the conference, many questions of the units were also answered. Typically, Hanoi locomotive factory asked the Corporation to consider the salary. Currently, the salary of the locomotive system is lower than the salary of other systems in the industry (specifically the salary of the locomotive has both heavy and specific labor ... but the total average income is low).
Responding to this issue, Vietnam Railway Corporation said that after the Covid period and the Corporation's production and business difficulties, in the past 2 years, the salary and income of the locomotive factory sector have increased. In 2024, the average salary will reach 12.2 million VND/person/month; the average income has reached over 13.1 million VND/person/month.
Vinh Machinery Head Enterprise recommends that the Corporation soon deploy the installation of automatic barriers on some level crossings. Eliminate self-opened crossings according to the roadmap, combine propaganda so that people do not arbitrarily create illegal crossings.
Responding to this proposal, the Railway Corporation said that the railway lines under the Corporation's management currently have 750 automatic guardrails (CBTD). Of which, 741 cross-traffic roads with automatic barriers (CCTD) and 9 cross-traffic roads without CCTD.
The crossroads of the CBD without CCT Corporation proposed the Ministry of Construction to allow the installation of CCT (included in the Railway Infrastructure Maintenance Plan in 2025) but not yet approved by competent authorities. The Corporation assigned the Infrastructure Management Board to continue advising the Ministry of Construction to allow the installation.
Regarding the elimination of self-opened paths, the Corporation has prepared a project to ensure order in railway traffic safety corridors and completely handle self-opened paths across railways approved under Decision No. 358/QD-TTg dated March 10, 2020 and Decision No. 1149/QD-BGTVT dated June 15, 2020.
Due to limited capital, many self-opened paths have not been cleared.
The Corporation assigned the Safety Committee to advise and direct Nghe Tinh Railway Exploitation Branch and Nghe Tinh Railway Joint Stock Company to coordinate with localities to fence off and propagate to people not to arbitrarily create self-opened crossings.
