On May 20, information from doctors at Can Tho Central General Hospital said that Mr. Nguyen Van B.T (33 years old, Tra Vinh province) - the driver in the accident that killed a 14-year-old girl, then shot by her biological father in a shooting in Tra On district (Vinh Long) - is expected to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow (21 years old) after 3 weeks of treatment.
"If stable, no more fever, the patient is expected to be discharged tomorrow," the doctor informed Lao Dong reporter.
According to the doctor, the patient's perception is still blurred, contactless, and he can breathe on his own through the air, eating through the stomach.

Patient T is paralyzed on one side, and if he wants to recover, he must practice physical therapy. The patient's ability to fully recover is very difficult, possibly with motor or language defects.
As Lao Dong reported, on the morning of April 28, in Vinh Xuan commune (Tra On district, Vinh Long province), a shooting occurred. After committing the crime, Mr. Nguyen V.P (born in 1983, residing in Tra Con commune, Tra On district) walked to National Highway 54 towards Tra On town (Tra On district) about 200m and suddenly used a gun to shoot himself in the head.
After that, Mr. P was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) for emergency treatment but died on the evening of April 28. As for Mr. B.T (the person who was shot), the doctor at Can Tho Central General Hospital had surgery to remove the bullet.

This incident arose from Mr. P's family disagreeing with the conclusion of Tra On District Police about the traffic accident that led to the death of his daughter on September 4, 2024, in which B.T was the one who directly drove the truck.
