On the afternoon of June 7, the People's Committee of Cu M'gar district announced that the unit had approved land acquisition for the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, the section avoiding the East of Buon Ma Thuot city.
According to the Cu M'gar district government, the project passes through 5.9km. Currently, there is still a problem at the beginning of the route through Cuor Dang commune of 22 households. Of which, 13 households are subject to resettlement.
Currently, the district has approved the land reclamation of 10 households and individuals. The total area reclaimed is 1,686.7m2. Of which, there are 636.3m2 of rural land, 343.7m2 of land for perennial crops and 706.7m2 of land for traffic corridors. The total cost of compensation, support and resettlement is more than 17 billion VND.
The professional unit of Cu M'gar district is completing and submitting a resettlement plan for 1 household. The remaining 2 households are stuck in legal procedures regarding land use right certificates.
Explaining the delay in site clearance, Mr. Nguyen Cong Van, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cu M'gar district, said that many households do not agree with the compensation plan.
They believe that the current price of land and assets on land in the compensation plan is lower than the draft in 2022.
According to Mr. Van, the reason for the difference is that in 2022, the project applied under the 2013 Land Law will have many support policies. Currently, according to the 2024 Land Law, these supports are no longer available.
Regarding the Ho Chi Minh Road Project, the eastern bypass section through Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak), the Ministry of Construction has issued a deadline for requesting Dak Lak province to resolve land problems before May 30, 2025.
Otherwise, the Ministry of Construction will consider the project zoning plan and hand over the unfinished part to the locality for self-management.
The Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, the eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot city, is nearly 40km long, with a total investment of more than VND1,800 billion.
According to the plan, the project must be completed by the end of 2024. However, due to land clearance problems, the project has not yet been completed and has been extended to June 30, 2025.
