According to research, Lieutenant pilot Dinh Thanh Trung (under Air Force Regiment 940, Air Force Officer School, Air Defense - Air Force Service) was the person who directly controlled the plane that encountered the incident.
During the flight, Lieutenant Trung made great efforts to fix the incident but was unsuccessful. After that, the plane crashed in the Dong Hoa ward area.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 7:40 am on the same day, a military plane crashed in Dong Hoa ward, Dak Lak province.
According to research, before the plane crashed, the pilot promptly parachuted into the Hoa Hiep ward area. The pilot was injured and quickly taken to the emergency room by people. The crashed plane belonged to Air Force Regiment 940.
