On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day July 27, on July 22, Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Phu Quoc Special Zone Dinh Van Noi and the working delegation visited, presented gifts and sent deep gratitude to policy families, wounded soldiers and relatives of martyrs in the area.
The visit not only brought meaningful gifts but also spread a warm atmosphere, further tightening the bond between the Party, the State and policy families.
At the families visiting, in a warm atmosphere, Mr. Dinh Van Noi cordially inquired about the health, daily life and listened to each story of hard but extremely heroic memories of wounded and sick soldiers. Mr. Dinh Van Noi affirmed that the Party, State and people always remember and are extremely grateful for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Phu Quoc Special Zone emphasized that the work of caring for people with meritorious services and policy families is always a central, regular and continuous task. Through grasping the thoughts and actual circumstances, it is requested that specialized agencies and local authorities urgently get involved, review and promptly remove all difficulties and obstacles for wounded soldiers and policy families, ensure the full and rapid implementation of preferential policies in accordance with current regulations, and take good care of the material and spiritual lives of people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Currently, in the Phu Quoc special zone, there are 606 families of martyrs with 658 martyrs (local martyrs 387, martyrs from other places 271); there are 55 cases receiving monthly martyr's death benefits and 455 families worshiping martyrs; 134 wounded soldiers, 26 sick soldiers... 4 collective units and 3 individuals are honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the State.
