According to Lao Dong reporters, from around 3:30 p.m. the same day, heavy rain began in districts such as Tan Binh, Go Vap, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Thu Duc city...
At around 4pm, many roads such as Phan Huy Ich (Go Vap District), Nguyen Van Qua (District 12), Thao Dien, Hiep Binh (Thu Duc City) ... were deeply flooded, with water reaching half the wheel of the motorbike, causing a series of engine failure.

Ms. Le Thi Hong (residing in Thu Duc City) said that the deep floodwaters caused her to be late for picking up her children. "I took my child after school but the flood was so deep that the motorbike stalled," Ms. Hong said.
Mr. Mark Jansen (residing in Thu Duc City) shared that after passing through the flooded section on Thao Dien Street, he felt difficult but it was also a quite interesting experience.
"I just moved here to live, I have heard about flooding in Thao Dien, but I did not think it was so serious. Anyway, for me this is a quite interesting experience," Mr. Mark Jansen added.

According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the rain on June 4 achieved an average rainfall of 40-70mm, one of the heaviest rains since the beginning of the season.
People need to proactively monitor weather information from authorities to promptly respond, especially during the late afternoon peak hours when heavy rain often occurs unexpectedly. In addition, people are also advised to limit going out during prolonged heavy rain, avoiding going through roads that are often flooded to ensure safety.
In addition, households living in low-lying areas need to check and reinforce the drainage system around their houses, prepare anti-flooding items such as sandbags, water barriers, etc. to limit damage when heavy rain suddenly overflows.
