In order to restore order and discipline in land management and forest resource protection, on July 16 and 17, functional forces simultaneously launched operations, determined to implement coercive measures to forcibly remedy the consequences for a series of cases of illegal land occupation in Ganh Dau area, Phu Quoc special zone (An Giang province).
According to the decisions on handling administrative violations that have just been issued, the subjects of coercion this time include 15 individuals encroaching on special-use forest land managed by Phu Quoc National Park and encroaching on commercial service land managed by investment enterprises in the area.
The main violations are arbitrary leveling, building houses, toilets and erecting illegal fences, completely changing the original state of the land.

Through actual measurements from functional agencies, the total area of land forced to be coercively recovered in this phase is more than 15,000 m2. The strict measure applied is to force violating individuals to self-dismantle all works, restore the original state of the land and return the encroached land; and at the same time must return the illegal profits obtained from this illegal act.
