On August 17, at the Bai Dat Do project, the Phu Quoc special zone government (An Giang) carried out coercion against 3 cases of land acquisition with a total area of more than 4,000 m2 of land. After many times of propaganda and mobilization, 3 cases of land acquisition still did not voluntarily hand over land even though they had self-dismantled and moved architectural structures out of the land, so coercion had to be carried out.
Along with the 3 coercive decisions mentioned above, Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee also deployed and implemented 7 decisions to sanction administrative violations, forcing remediation of consequences due to administrative violations against households and individuals who encroached and occupied forest land, state-managed land and did not comply with the government's handling decisions in Bai Vong and Ham Ninh neighborhoods with a total area of more than 10,000 m2 of land, forcing the above cases to return the total amount of illegal profits of more than 100 million VND.

The issuance and serious implementation of decisions on coercion and administrative sanctions shows the spirit of respecting the law and Phu Quoc's determination to restore land management order, ensuring legitimate rights for investors and the community.
The special zone government also called on relevant households to quickly comply, voluntarily hand over the land and fulfill financial obligations to avoid coercive measures according to regulations.
