On January 30, Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee issued an Official Dispatch on organizing fireworks displays in communes and wards during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Accordingly, the Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee agreed to allow 12 communes and wards to organize fireworks displays on New Year's Eve, including: Xuan Hoa, Phu Tho; Hien Luong, Dan Thuong, Tay Coc, Dong Thanh, Cam Khe, Mai Chau, Luong Son, Yen Thuy, An Nghia and Kim Boi.
The fireworks display will be held on New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026, with low-altitude fireworks, duration not exceeding 15 minutes.
In addition to the 12 communes and wards mentioned above, this province also organized shootings at 3 central locations: pedestrian bridge of Van Lang Park (Viet Tri ward), Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh Phuc ward) and Hoa Binh Square or Hoa Binh Bridge (Hoa Binh ward), with a duration of 15 minutes.

Notably, the entire cost of organizing fireworks displays is mobilized from socialized funding, not using the State budget.
The Military Command of Phu Tho province is the unit in charge of implementation, coordinating with the People's Committees of relevant communes and wards to organize fireworks displays in accordance with regulations.
Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee requests the Provincial Military Command to preside over and closely coordinate with the Provincial Police, local authorities and relevant agencies to survey the firing location, organize fireworks command, and ensure absolute safety throughout the operation process.
Along with that, Phu Tho Provincial Police are assigned the task of developing plans and arranging forces to ensure security and order, safety for people in fireworks display areas.
Fire prevention and fighting plans, and handling arising situations must be carefully prepared to prevent incidents from occurring.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province is responsible for coordinating in directing and guiding localities to organize mass cultural, artistic and sports activities during Tet, creating a joyful, excited, and united atmosphere among the people.
For the People's Committees of communes and wards licensed to set off fireworks, provincial leaders requested to develop detailed plans, closely coordinate with functional forces, ensure the organization of fireworks displays takes place practically, effectively, in accordance with legal regulations, and at the same time report the implementation results to the Provincial People's Committee (through the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) before February 28, 2026.
