The road project connecting National Highway 6 to Doc Lap, old Du Sang connecting National Highway 12B is being implemented with a total investment of 450 billion VND, passing through the territory of Nat Son commune, Muong Dong, Ky Son ward and Hoa Binh ward.
The project is invested by the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport Works of Hoa Binh province.
In the last days of March, according to records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, many sections of the route have been asphalted, and the road surface has initially formed clearly.
The bridge and culvert system on the route is basically shaped, of which some bridges have been completed. In many other locations, construction units are focusing on leveling hills, clearing mountains, creating roadbeds...

Mr. Nguyen Van Nam (Quynh Lam area) said: "People hope the project will be completed soon to facilitate travel and promote socio-economic development, especially in highland areas such as Doc Lap commune (old) and Nat Son commune".
According to Mr. Nam, the road when put into operation will also significantly shorten travel time from Hoa Binh ward to Kim Boi mineral spring area, creating conditions for tourism and local services to develop.
And Mr. Bui Van Son (a resident living near the project) shared that the prolonged construction process affects business and daily life, especially when it rains. People hope the project will be completed soon.

According to information from the Hoa Binh Regional Project Management Board, the project has a total length of 18.18 km, currently the construction volume has reached about 47.6% of the contract value.
In which, the roadbed excavation and embankment work reached 14.6/18.18 km; the construction of crushed stone base layer reached about 10.5 km; asphalt concrete paving reached 8.4 km. 3/5 bridge locations on the route have been basically completed.
According to updated data, accumulated to the end of 2025, the project has disbursed 275/275 billion VND, reaching 100% of the plan. In 2026, the capital plan was allocated 92 billion VND, but only 12.39 billion VND was disbursed, equivalent to 13%.
Regarding site clearance, the entire route has only handed over 11.1/18.18 km, reaching about 61.6%, not meeting the progress requirements.
In Hoa Binh ward, since the commencement of construction (March 2024), the compensation and support plan has not been approved; the biggest obstacle is the relocation of the People's Cemetery of Group 1 Quynh Lam at the beginning of the route...
In Ky Son ward, the section Km5+330 – Km8+942 has handed over about 97% of the length, but there are still 11 households that have not been approved for plans due to assets on agricultural land and difficulties in determining land type.
In Nat Son commune, about 90% of the site has been handed over; 270 households have been approved for compensation with a total budget of more than 23 billion VND, but 20 households have not received money and about 55 households have not completed the plan due to problems with dossiers, incorrect calculations and inconsistent land types.
For Muong Dong commune, site clearance work has not been implemented when a land acquisition plan has not been issued and the specific land price has not been determined.

Regarding the above issue, in the project inspection session on the afternoon of March 24, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Quach Tat Liem requested that for the section passing through Nat Son commune, the locality must proactively propose and adjust the planning to be reasonable to arrange resettlement for people.
Sections passing through Hoa Binh, Ky Son wards and Muong Dong commune need to continue to carry out cemetery relocation work, accelerating site clearance progress.
The Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee also requested the Hoa Binh Area Project Management Board to closely monitor, urge, and direct more drastically so that contractors can mobilize maximum machinery, equipment, and manpower to accelerate progress at locations that have handed over land.
