Phu Yen aims for GRDP growth of 7% in 2025, aiming for sustainable development and improving people's lives.

According to the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, in 2024, the province's socio-economic situation will be basically stable and have some development aspects; social security will be ensured; national defense and security will be stable.

Total export turnover reached 320 million USD, exceeding 112.3% of the plan, up 14.1% over the same period; agricultural, forestry and fishery production increased by 4%; industrial production value increased by 8.8%; total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased by 11.3%.

The province's tourism industry welcomed 4 million visitors, an increase of 25%, bringing in a revenue increase of 62.7%. Jobs were created for more than 27,000 workers, exceeding the plan; the rate of trained workers reached more than 78%; the high school graduation rate reached 99.09%, the highest in the past 10 years...

Regarding new rural construction, the whole province has 64/82 communes meeting new rural criteria, maintaining 2 districts meeting new rural standards; OCOP programs continue to develop, with 356 products recognized. It is estimated that in 2024, Phu Yen province will have 14/17 targets meeting and exceeding the set plan.

Mr. Le Tan Ho - Permanent Vice Chairman of Phu Yen Provincial People's Committee said that, besides the achieved results, the socio-economic development situation of the province still has some limitations.

In particular, the recovery progress of the provincial economy in some areas is still slow; some important indicators such as GRDP growth, state budget revenue, and total development investment capital in the area have not reached the set plan.

Compensation and site clearance for some important projects are still slow; the disbursement rate of public investment capital and national target program capital is low; production and business activities of enterprises still face difficulties...

According to Mr. Le Tan Ho, 2025 is considered a year of special significance for Phu Yen province. This is the final year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, the year of consolidating development foundations to create a premise for implementing the socio-economic development plan for the period 2026-2030.

Phu Yen province strives to achieve a GRDP growth rate of 7%; total export turnover of 370 million USD; total budget revenue in the area of ​​5,540 billion VND; total social development investment capital of 22,000 billion VND; the rate of communes meeting new rural criteria of 80%; creating jobs for 25,500 workers; the rate of poor households reduced according to multidimensional poverty standards by 1.02%;...

"The task in 2025 is extremely heavy, so all levels, sectors, unions, enterprises, economic organizations and people in the province must unite, join hands, and be determined to strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, and achieve the highest level of the goals and tasks set out in the plan for 2025.

To successfully implement the goals and plans for 2025, the Provincial People's Committee will focus on directing the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws," Mr. Le Tan Ho emphasized.
