On March 18, Project Management Board 85 just sent a document to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province on the traffic organization plan for component project 2, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway phase 1.
Component project 2, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, more than 18km long, is planned to put the main route into operation before March 31.
When put into operation, this section will organize traffic for vehicles carrying people under 24 seats in both directions from the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway intersection (belonging to component project 2) to the National Highway 56 intersection (belonging to component project 3) and vice versa.
In which, for the direction of traffic from the center of Ho Chi Minh City and Dau Giay to Vung Tau, there will be 2 routes including:
Route 1: Vehicles traveling from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, Dau Giay to the National Highway 51 intersection exit the toll station, then continue to pass through the toll station in the direction of Long Thanh - Dau Giay to enter the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway by the right lane (without toll control station) to go to Vung Tau.
Route 2: Vehicles traveling from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, Dau Giay to the National Highway 51 intersection exit the toll station, then enter Bung Mon street for about 1.1km and turn right into Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway to go to Vung Tau.
For traffic directions from Vung Tau to the center of Ho Chi Minh City and Dau Giay, vehicles entering the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway at the intersection of National Highway 56, moving to Km17+700 turn right to get to the overpass of branch 1 of route T2 on the left (belonging to component project 3, Long Thanh International Airport Project), then continue to turn right into branch N7 to go to Dau Giay or turn left to go back to Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, regarding the traffic organization plan to connect residents on both sides of the expressway, Project Management Board 85 said that the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway passes through and divides 3 communes Long Thanh, Long Phuoc and Phuoc Thai, Dong Nai province into the left and right sides of the road. The connection of both sides of the expressway is through 5 level crossings and 6 underpasses. Currently, the level crossing at Km25+780 (on provincial road 770B) and the service road from Phuoc Binh road to the Vac river bridge underpass have not been completed. Therefore, people in these two areas will have to move along the service road to nearby level crossing locations to cross the expressway.
Component projects 2, 3 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, more than 37km long, the Ministry of Construction proposed to put the main route into operation before March 31, 2026.
For component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, more than 16km long, the Ministry of Construction proposed to put the main route into operation in the second quarter of 2026.
