Faced with the impact of storm No. 11 ( Matmo) causing heavy rain, strong winds and rising water levels of the Thai Binh River, the People's Committee of Hai Duong Ward has urgently directed functional forces to synchronously deploy response measures to ensure the safety of the people.
On October 5, ward authorities were present in riverside areas, directly propagating, guiding and mobilizing people to move to safety.
In particular, households living on boats and fish cages were mobilized by the authorities to sign a commitment not to stay in dangerous areas when the storm made landfall. Along with that, forces support people to reinforce cages, anchor boats, move livestock, vehicles and assets to higher ground.

By the end of October 5, 54 households along the river had proactively moved to safe shelters, ensuring absolute safety for people and property. Relocation work was carried out urgently and safely, receiving high consensus from the people.
Currently, functional forces are still on duty 24/7 at vulnerable points, monitoring river water levels, checking drainage systems, clearing water flows and being ready to support people in case of emergency situations.
The People's Committee of Hai Duong Ward calls on people to be proactive, not subjective, and regularly monitor forecasts and storm warnings on the loudspeaker system and official information means to promptly respond.
With the motto "4 on-site" - on-site command, on-site forces, on-site vehicles, on-site logistics - Hai Duong ward is vigorously and synchronously implementing disaster prevention measures, determined to minimize damage caused by storm No. 11.
