Phu Tho - Over the past time, Phong Chau ward has invested hundreds of billions of VND to build and upgrade the transport infrastructure system in the area.

Investing in large roads connecting industrial parks/clusters

In order to gradually complete urban infrastructure, meet trade needs and attract investment, Phong Chau ward has implemented a series of important traffic infrastructure projects with a total investment capital of up to hundreds of billions of VND.

One of the key transport infrastructure projects being focused on speeding up progress in the area is the project to upgrade and renovate Hung Vuong road (section from Provincial Road 320B to National Highway 2). The project has a total investment of more than 47 billion VND, and the construction package is worth nearly 41 billion VND.

The road is nearly 1km long, designed according to the standards of a regional main road with a roadbed width of 35m, a road surface width of 21m, a median strip of 3m wide and sidewalks of 3.3m wide on each side. Previously, this section of the road was just an old cement concrete road that had deteriorated over many years of use.

According to a representative of the Phong Chau Ward Project Management Board, the construction contractor is completing one of the final tasks, which is asphalt concrete pavement. Items: Drainage, sidewalks, green trees, lighting system... have all been synchronously constructed.

Hung Vuong road, after being invested in renovation and upgrade, not only creates a synchronous and modern traffic connection axis from National Highway 2 passing through Phu Ha Industrial Park, but also creates momentum to increase the value of real estate and surrounding commercial services.

Another important traffic project in Phong Chau ward that is being accelerated is the project to build a traffic road to Phu Ho Industrial Cluster.

With a total investment of nearly 55 billion VND, the locality is building a 473.39m long traffic road directly connecting from National Highway 2 to Phu Ho Industrial Cluster.

The road is completely newly built, designed according to urban road standards with a roadbed width of up to 35m and a road surface width of 22m.

The project is expected to thoroughly solve the traffic problem, opening the way for Phu Ho Industrial Cluster to connect with National Highway 2 and important traffic routes, helping to increase investment attraction efficiency for the industrial cluster.

Renovating and upgrading people's roads

In addition to large industrial and urban infrastructure projects, Phong Chau ward also focuses on investing in improving the civil transport network. Typically, there is the project to renovate and upgrade traffic roads from zone 1 to zone 10 with a total investment of nearly 31 billion VND.

According to the reporter's investigation, on August 26, the Phong Chau Ward Project Management Board issued a bidding invitation notice for Package No. 06: Construction of the project with a price of over 22.2 billion VND.

Previously, in mid-July 2026, the project to renovate the road from National Highway 2 to Zone 1, Zone 10, Phong Chau ward with a total investment of 35 billion VND completed the selection of construction contractors.

The construction package of the project is worth more than 17.5 billion VND, constructing a road with a total length of 1,173.3m, designed according to grade III mountainous road standards.

The scale of the route includes a roadbed width of 8m, a road surface width of 7m, and sidewalks 0.5m on each side... The lighting, drainage, and road traffic systems... are designed synchronously.

The simultaneous implementation of major transport projects shows the local determination to complete the urban infrastructure system.

New roads not only remove traffic bottlenecks, meet people's travel needs, but also open up new development space and increase investment attraction efficiency for industrial parks/clusters in the area.
