On June 26, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee said that in order to ensure accommodation for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers from Quang Tri province who transferred to the new provincial center after the merger, Quang Binh province is urgently renovating a number of facilities into public housing and concentrated accommodation areas.
After the merger into the new Quang Tri province, 1,194 cadres, civil servants and public employees of Quang Tri province registered to stay in Dong Hoi city. Of these, 102 people are cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the remaining 1,092 people are civil servants and public employees of agencies and units.
To meet the housing needs after the merger, Quang Binh province has developed a specific classification and arrangement plan. For 102 cadres with a position allowance coefficient of 0.7 or higher, the locality will arrange accommodation at the North Central Women's Development Center (Quang Phu commune), which has 65 rooms with an expected capacity of 121 people. At the same time, a part of the province's existing public housing will also be used for this group of officials.
For 1,092 people with a position allowance coefficient of less than 0.7, the province is renovating 3 old educational and training institutions to serve as accommodation, including:
Headquarters of Dong Hoi City Continuing Education Center: 56 rooms, allocated to 112 people.
The C-room lectureship area (5 floors high) of Quang Binh University: 67 rooms, arranged for 124 people.
Lecture and administration area of the old Economics College: 100 rooms, with 176 people.
In total, the 5 above-mentioned facilities are expected to be able to accommodate 543 people.
