In order to support people in investing in production, business, creating jobs, and stabilizing their lives, in 2024, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Binh province actively advised the Provincial People's Committee to implement many policies to support job creation.
This helps increase income for local workers, notably implementing policies to support loans to create jobs, maintain and expand employment through the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP).
To ensure stability and proactiveness in mobilizing financial resources to implement preferential credit programs for the period 2021-2025, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of the province has proactively coordinated with the Provincial Bank for Social Policies and relevant departments to advise the Provincial People's Committee to develop a Project "Credit support for the poor and other policy beneficiaries through entrusting capital from the local budget to the Bank for Social Policies in Quang Binh province for the period 2021-2025".
In 2024, based on the state's regulations on policies to support loans for job creation, in addition to capital from the National Employment Fund and mobilized capital from the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, the Provincial People's Committee has allocated 46.7 billion VND from the local budget entrusted through the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to supplement loan capital (of which the provincial budget is 19 billion VND, the district budget is 27.7 billion VND).
The provincial branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies has coordinated with organizations in the network to implement loans for eligible subjects to create jobs, contributing to the completion of job creation targets according to the set plan.
As of December 31, 2024, the total loan capital to support job creation in the province reached more than 956 billion VND. Of which, the capital source of the National Employment Fund is more than 79 billion VND; the capital source mobilized by the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies is more than 662 billion VND; the local budget capital source entrusted through the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies to lend is more than 222 billion VND.
Thanks to the policy of supporting loans to create jobs, many workers, production and business households in the province have found job opportunities, expanded production and business, increased income and quality of life, and contributed positively to the socio-economic development of the locality.
