On April 18, Quang Binh Provincial Police said that the authorities have just coordinated with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (Ministry of Public Security) and GeneStory Joint Stock Company to collect DNA samples for relatives of unidentified martyrs in the province.
During this period, Quang Binh Provincial Police established two working groups to visit fixed and mobile locations in many districts, towns and cities in the area, directly collecting 30 DNA samples from martyrs' relatives.
Including 15 samples of mothers and 15 samples of martyrs' relatives, including many Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are still alive and whose families have not found the remains of their loved ones.
The DNA collection was done methodically, ensuring accuracy and safety, serving the work of appraisal, identification and early return of heroic martyrs to their homeland and family.
This is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, contributing to the effective implementation of the policy of "repaying gratitude", soothing the pain of war and opening up opportunities for families to soon receive the remains of martyrs, those who have devoted and sacrificed for the cause of defending the country.
