Ha Long City Electricity, Quang Ninh Province will prioritize power supply to key areas of the province and city. Due to prolonged heavy rain, repairing the power grid is facing many difficulties,
Ha Long City currently has over 110,000 customers (the largest in Quang Ninh province). Due to the impact of strong winds and storms, all 38/38 medium voltage lines and transformer stations were damaged, over 250 electric poles were broken, causing widespread power outages.
During the two days of September 8-9, Ha Long City Electricity mobilized nearly 170 officers and employees (100% of the staff) and the Northern Power Corporation added 43 more technical staff to restore Ha Long's power grid after the storm.
As of 2:00 p.m. on September 9, Ha Long City Power Company has restored power to 15 medium-voltage lines. It is expected that today, the unit will make efforts to restore power to 28/38 medium-voltage lines.
Immediately after the medium voltage lines are restored, the City Power Company will prioritize power supply to customers in key areas such as: Headquarters of provincial and municipal agencies and units; hospitals, water plants, telecommunications broadcasting stations, coal mines; Bai Chay tourist area, etc.
However, the central wards of Ha Long City have not been able to restore power supply immediately. The main reason is that the 110kV Ha Tu transformer station, which is responsible for supplying power to the coal industry in the city and the Hon Gai area, is having a very serious problem, including a 110kV iron pole that has fallen.
Quang Ninh Electricity Company is actively coordinating with other units to focus on fixing the problem related to the 110kV Ha Tu transformer station as soon as possible.
According to a quick report from Quang Ninh Clean Water Joint Stock Company, as of September 9, the following localities: Dong Trieu, Uong Bi, Quang Yen, Ha Long, Cam Pha, Van Don, Tien Yen, Ba Che, Dam Ha, Mong Cai were all severely affected, leading to water shortages. Currently, the Company has mobilized all human resources and made efforts to quickly fix the problem to ensure clean water for the people.
On September 9, basically all areas in the province were supplied with water, striving to reach 100% of areas in the province by September 10.
Currently, for key areas and units such as medical stations and hospitals in Quang Ninh province, the company has basically ensured the supply of clean water. At the same time, it continues to coordinate with units supplying materials, equipment and machinery to carry out repairs, making efforts to soon provide stable water supply to the people.
